Supporting Ke Kula Kaiapuni o Maui ma Kalama (Hawaiian Language Immersion) through the March 2023 bag credit program!

This month's bag credit earnings are being donated to Ke Kula Kaiapuni o Maui ma Kalama (Hawaiian Language Immersion). More specifically, to support the 8th graders (class of 2027) who will be completing intermediate school this year.

“The 8th graders of Ke Kula Kaiapuni o Maui ma Kalama (Hawaiian Language Immersion) class of 2027 will be reaching a milestone this year in completing intermediate school. In preparation of celebrating the achievements and growth of our 26 students, the mākua (parent group) and Kumu (teachers) are coordinating a series of culturally relevant activities and luncheon to mark the occasion of transitioning from middle school to high school.” -Ke Kula Kaiapuni o Maui ma Kalama (Hawaiian Language Immersion).

Through our bag credit program this month, we are donating all funds raised to support the expenses associated with this important event. Funds will be used to purchase materials for traditional garments and supplies to create a memorable event for the students.

Mana Foods is incredibly proud to be a one-of-a-kind, family owned and operated business. We believe that it's our responsibility to promote environmentally friendly practices, and to give back to our community. We also believe that we're all one family, and our bag credit program is designed to support education, the environment, and our extended ʻOhana.

The Mana Foods bag credit program...

Every month Mana Foods donates to a different local organization. It’s really easy to participate: whenever you bring your own grocery bag (any kind of bag) to Mana Foods, you receive a bag credit. You can donate this or take it off your bill.

March’s earnings are all being donated to Ke Kula Kaiapuni o Maui ma Kalama (Hawaiian Language Immersion) and we couldn’t be happier about it! Bring a bag when you shop and support or community!
